Criminal charges filed against owner of Pittsburgh Mills

Potholes are causing issues for many drivers in the area

Criminal charges have been filed against the owner of Pittsburgh Mills, where the roads and parking lots have been neglected for years.

The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office is bringing public nuisance charges against Namdar Realty Group.

County Council member Nick Futules sent the DA a letter that started a criminal investigation and told KDKA's Marty Griffin it's a public safety issue.

“Also, an insurance issue with their own insurance company,” said Futules. “I saw in the complaint; several people have had flat tires and broken rims and one is complaining of back and neck injuries now.”

Also, Walmart paid $100,000 for re-paving so deliveries could be made.

Futules said he wouldn't be surprised to see retailers at Pittsburgh Mills pay for new roads and parking areas and bill Namdar for them.
