The Waterfront will implement a new curfew starting Monday at 6 p.m.
All visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older.
Anyone under 21 has to be off the property by midnight.
Homestead Police Chief Jeffrey DeSimone told the Big K Morning Show there may be additional officers on site for enforcement.
“And I believe you’re going to see that increase, not to mention individual stores having their own detail officers,” said DeSimone. “I believe you’re going to see a bigger presence than you have before.”
He says there have been some recent issues with disturbances on the property, especially during the weekends.
Though stores close at 9 p.m. most days and at 6 p.m. on Sundays, many restaurants and bars are open later.
