The District Attorney's Office says the use of force was justified in the February killing of a woman by Pittsburgh SWAT officers.
District Attorney Steven Zappala says in reviewing officers' actions, the most important consideration goes into whether they were taken in response to “a legitimate and compelling threat.”
39-year-old Adrienne Arrington was killed in the February incident in the City's Saint Clair Section in late February.
Police had been called to the 500 block of Engstler Street and were directed to an abandoned home, and then they were fired upon.
