The Westmorland County District Attorney stated on Wednesday that he plans on seeking the death penalty against a man accused of murdering a couple in May.
Victor Steban is accused of killing Jake Erdaljac and his girlfriend Mara Casale as part of a crime spree that connected Steban to multiple other crimes.
The other crimes include a fire at his own home and multiple drive-by shootings.
A man-hunt for Steban ensued and as police were closing in on him he is accused of a carjacking.
At a preliminary hearing in June, Westmorland County District Attorney John Peck accused Steban of waiting on Erdaljac and Casale before ambushing them with an AR-15.
Police have connected Steban to a car bombing that took place in North Huntingdon.
