The Beaver County DA will not file charges in a 2022 murder that started on a BCTA bus.

Jason Fioravanti suffered a head injury during the incident on March 7, 2022. He died earlier this year.

The Allegheny County Coroner ruled his death a homicide.

The DA's office says Fioravanti was harassing a Black man on the bus, including using racial slurs and threatening him.

Both men got off at the same stop, where Fioravanti allegedly hit the man.

The man retaliated and Fioravanti fell, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. DA David Lozier said today he will not file charges against the man because he was likely acting in self-defense, and they've never been able to identify him.
