A man convicted of sexual abusing his daughters will likely spend the rest of his life in prison after he was sentenced Monday.

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala announced Tuesday that 38-year-old Joshua Irwin of Carnegie will spend 66 to 132 years in prison for sexually abusing his biological daughters.

He will also be registered as a sex offender for life.

Irwin was found guilty on 16 charges of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, incest of a minor, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

“I believe justice prevailed in this case,” said DA Zappala. “Unfortunately, there is no level of justice that can change what has happened to these victims, but I can only hope that this is the first step in the healing process.”
