The Airport Authority has set a date for a first look at Pittsburgh International's new terminal.
A community open house is scheduled for Saturday, October 11 from noon to 7 p.m.
People who want to explore the state-of-the-art facility before it is fully operational can register starting next week.
You must be registered to attend. Registration will open up HERE next week.
The open house is free and visitors can to choose time slots to see the new terminal when they register.
The open house follows the upcoming public trial run, scheduled for September 20, when 2,000 members of the community will test the new terminal.
“We’ve said from the beginning that this new state-of-the-art terminal is built for Pittsburgh, by Pittsburgh and we are excited to open the doors to the public to tour,” Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Christina Cassotis said. “This is the front door to the region and the public should be very proud of what this community has accomplished. From the excellent work of our local union trades to public and governmental support at all levels, this amazing community has been a key partner in helping to build the future of the region and lead the industry.”
