The date for Pittsburgh's St. Patrick's Day Parade has been set.

The date is Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m. for one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the country.

The parade route begins at Liberty Avenue and 11th Street, heads to Grant Street, to the Boulevard of the Allies, and then onto Stanwix Street and ending at Commonwealth Place.

This year's grand marshal is Robert Tierney a Dublin, Ireland native who came to Pittsburgh 27 years ago.

He has spent time as the president of the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh.

The parade committee says the parade will go on, Rain, Hail or even in a Blizzard.
