The Pennsylvania Game Commission has finally rescued a deer that had a jug stuck on its head.
In a post on Facebook, the Game Commission’s Southwest Region says the had been getting calls about a white-tailed deer in Jefferson Hills. Sgt. April Whitsell and Warden Tyler Castronova tried multiple times to get the jug off the deer, but were unsuccessful.
But, on Monday, the officers were able to tranquilize the deer and take the jug off the deer’s head.
The wardens kept an eye on the deer to make sure it was healthy.
“A big thanks to the yinzers for reporting the deer. You are the true MVPs of conservation!” the Game Commission wrote.
