Del Monte Foods says it's making Pittsburgh its central hub.

The company's CEO and Chief Executive officer says the city has been an important part of its story for more than two decades.

It acquired StarKist, 9 Lives and Nature's Goodness from Heinz back in 2002.

In addition to naming the city's central hub, core functions for its Foods division will be anchored here.

Del Monte’s senior leadership will also now be based in Pittsburgh.

“Pittsburgh has been an important part of our story for more than two decades,” said Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh, Fresh Del Monte Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “As we look ahead, we are proud to deepen our presence here while continuing to invest in the people, partnerships and community that have supported us over the years.”

Del Monte's Pittsburgh office is located in Penn Center West off the Parkway West in Robinson Township.
