Police in Derry Borough are investigating after someone spray painted graffiti underneath a bridge.
The phallic image was painted under a “No trespassing” sign under the bridge.
Police say a surveillance video captured the incident and police say they are giving the person responsible an opportunity to come forward.
If they do, they will only be responsible for the cost of having the graffiti painted over.
If they don’t come forward, police say the perpetrator will be charged with criminal mischief and trespassing.
Parents are encouraged to speak with their children regarding this incident and make them aware that police do have video footage.
