New developments in death of teen hit by vehicle on West Mifflin
There are new developments in the death of a teen hit by a vehicle on Kennywood Boulevard in December 2025.
Attorney Fred Rabner, representing Naomi White, the mother of Terrel Byars Jr., tells KDKA Radio witnesses said the vehicle that hit the teen appeared to be speeding.
"That they were swinging around other vehicles, there's been other testimony that potentially they were racing on the highway and we believe there might have been another vehicle involved," said Rabner.
Attorney Rabner shared new a detail about the woman linked to Byars' death.
"Doesn't appear to have insurance which is shameful in of itself for her and her husband and if I have to sue them individually and take everything they own in life, I'll do that," said Rabner.
The fatal incident has sparked protests and angry residents demanded answers at last night's West Mifflin Borough Council meeting.
