One of Pennsylvania's US Senators will be seen wearing a hoodie and gym shorts while matters of national and international concern are being decided inside the Capitol.
That's after the Democratic leader instructed the sergeant at arms not to enforce the Senate's informal dress code.
To some, it doesn't matter if the eccentric former mayor of Braddock looks the part of a Senator or not.
Since Mr. Fetterman is representing the Commonwealth and all its residents, it is understandable how others would think his insistence on the most casual clothing reflects poorly on Pennsylvania.
Criticism of that is not political, it's a matter of respect.
We think it is fair to ask: What will our senator be remembered for?
A great legislative achievement, or his wardrobe?
