Police are asking for information after a dog was fatally struck by a car in West Homestead.
West Homestead Police say the dog was hit by a silver Toyota driven by a male in the area of Sarah Street and West 10th Avenue on Monday.
The driver “briefly stopped and then fled the scene,” said West Homestead Police.
The dog was taken to a local vet hospital in critical condition, but eventually passed away at the ER.
Anyone with any information about the driver is asked to call police at 412-461-1844.
