Donnie Iris continues to recover from cancer, but says he will need to cancel is next concert.

The 80-year-old Ellwood City rocker provided an update on his Facebook page Wednesday morning:

Thanks to all of my friends and fans out there for your continued support and concern for my health. I am recovering nicely but I am going to need a little more time to recuperate. Unfortunately, this means that I will not be able to perform at the Foreigner and Loverboy concert at Blossom Music Center on July 24th. Tickets are still available at LiveNation.com and I can’t wait to see you all soon!

Love, Donnie

The Blossom Music Center is in Cuyahoga Falls, just outside of Cleveland.

Iris announced at the beginning of June that he found out he had cancer shortly after his 80th birthday show in March at the UPMC Events Center at Robert Morris University.

Iris has been performing for well over 50 years.
