Donnie Iris has canceled an upcoming concert in Youngstown, announcing Monday he's getting cancer treatment.
A Facebook post says Iris was diagnosed shortly after his 80th birthday show in March.
He's recovering from surgery with a good prognosis.
Iris was set to play at the Foundation Amphitheater on June 21 with REO Speedwagon.
The band Levon will be replacing Donnie Iris and the Cruisers
Iris plans to return to the stage July 24th with Foreigner and Loverboy in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Iris, an Ellwood City native, has been performing for well over 50 years.
