After a cancer diagnosis, Donnie Iris is getting the word out he's feeling good and plans to perform next year.
“No more chemo! Doctors do not see any more cancer. Such great news! He feels like singing!” Iris’s Facebook page announced.
Iris has scheduled a show on March 16 at UPMC Events Center in Moon Township. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
Iris will celebrate his 81st birthday on February 28.
They’re calling it the “Luck of the Iris” concert. He’ll be joined by the Vindys.

A native of Ellwood City, Iris is one of the most well-known rock stars to come out of Pittsburgh.
