The Vandergrift Police Department has filed multiple criminal charges against of a Pikeville, North Carolina man, following an investigation into a fraudulent phone scheme.
Scott Olson allegedly impersonated a DoorDash representative, deceiving a Vandergrift resident into transferring nearly $300 from her personal checking account via Cash App.
After tracking the phone number and digital account through a search warrant, authorities charged Olson with unlawful use of a computer, access device fraud, theft, and impersonating a public servant.
