A former UPMC doctor pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle following a drunk driving incident in Pine Township two years ago.
Joseph Yanta will serve one to two years in jail and 18 months in probation.
Police said he was behind the wheel in July of 2022 going over 120 mph on Wexford Bayne Road before losing control and crashed, killing his passenger, 47-year-old Douglas Rockacy, who was also a UPMC doctor.
Police said Yanta's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
