Springtime brings orange barrels, single lane traffic, detours and alternate routes. But, it will all be suspended on the Wednesday before the NFL Draft.
A construction moratorium will be in place in and around the North Shore and Downtown Pittsburgh to help traffic flow as smoothly as possible with hundreds of thousands of visitors.
This will also apply to key routes like Penn Avenue, Butler Street and Carson Street according to Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure.
To a degree this actually started March 15 and will be in place until May 15 but the further away you get from Draft, the more likely you will see construction as usual.
PennDOT says it will suspend construction work the requires lane restrictions except for long term work already underway.
