Police have announced a DUI check point will take place this weekend in the Pittsburgh area.

The South Hills DUI Task Force and West Homestead Police will conduct the checkpoint from Friday, June 21 through Monday, June 24.

“As we approach the 4th of July Holiday, we want to remind drivers, if they are going to drink, plan ahead and have a sober driver but if you decide to drive while under the influence, we will be looking for you,” said PTS Coordinator Sgt. Loue Parrotta with the Baldwin Borough Police Department.

Anyone with a blood alcohol level of .08% is considered legally impaired.
