A popular ice cream company is teaming up with Eat’n Park to expand its footprint in Pittsburgh.
Eat’n Park Hospitality Group announced this week its investing in Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream, which is based in Homestead and started up on 2014.
The restaurant company now becomes a minority owner and partner with Millie’s. “For years, we have enjoyed a strong synergy with Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, starting with The Porch at Schenley and expanding to include successful partnerships with Parkhurst Dining at many of their local university locations,” says Chad Townsend, Millie’s Co-founder.
“We were looking for a local partner with extensive operational and management expertise to help us expand, and they were the perfect fit.”
With the partnership, expect to see a lot more Millie’s in stores and stand-alone locations in the future.
In a release, Eat’n Park says they won’t be switching to Millie’s in the immediate future, they are “excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring across our company’s footprint.”
Millie’s says they use local milk and cream “as well as all-natural ingredients from artisan bakers, markers, and farmers.”
