A 74-year-old man was brutally assaulted this week in a Cranberry Township hotel.
Police say the elderly victim was walking back to his room Wednesday at the Quality Inn when 27-year-old Jakob O’Brien punched him in the face repeatedly, bit him on the back and neck with enough force to break skin and leave teeth marks, and screamed he was going to kill him.
When the man fell on his back, O’Brien reportedly strangled him for a few seconds before other hotel guests pulled him away.
Cranberry Police say the attack was unprovoked, and the two did not know each other.
O’Brien is in Butler County Prison, charged with felony aggravated assault and more.
