An elementary student was struck Tuesday afternoon by a McKeesport Area school bus.
It happened around 4 p.m. near Soles and Stewart streets.
A woman living nearby said the girl was hit moments after she exited the bus and was crossing the street.
She said the student was bleeding from her head, but conscious.
She was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated and treated.
A message from McKeesport Area's superintendent says an investigation is underway.
