Crews are on the scene and thousands are without power after an incident in Elizabeth Township Thursday morning.
Officials say utility poles along with wire came down and landed on vehicles and police say Route 48 is closed, in both directions, between Circle Drive and Happy Hollow Road.
Elizabeth Township Public Works says there are several “township-wide outages” and some red lights are out.
As of noon, early 3,000 outages are reported by First Energy.
