After being separated for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an elderly couple in a nursing home were finally able to see each other in person.
The emotional reunion took place at HarmarVillage Care Center in Cheswick, Pennsylvania.
The facility posted video of the reunion to their Facebook page with the caption "A year later and finally these two love birds got to be reunited. Not a dry eye in sight ❤️"
The video shows the woman being greeted by the man as she wheels herself out of a room.
Upon seeing him, she's overcome with emotion and so surprised she just keeps repeating "Oh my God, oh my God." Immediately she reaches out her arms to hug her dear companion and the two do what they haven't been able to do for so long - share a loving embrace.
After the initial hug she can be heard saying "Thank you, God."
One commenter on the Facebook post may have summed the beauty of the moment by saying "Not a dry eye on this side either!!"
