An exotic bird was found dead in Beaver County on Monday, and the search is on for its owner.
A couple of good Samaritans spotted the “large macaw/parrot” at the end of the West Aliquippa Bridge, already deceased.
Courtney Helen says she wrapped the bird in a towel and took it to her home nearby.
She plans on taking it to the Beaver County Humane Society on Tuesday.
Benjamin Delany, who spotted the bird first, tells KDKA Radio the bird has a band on its left foot that reads “JAC 517”.
