A nurse already charged with killing two patients, is accused in a lawsuit of killing a third.
The family of 67-year-old Marianne Bowers is suing Belair Healthcare and Rehab Center in Lower Burrell for hiring Heather Presdee, contending it ignored her questionable history and complaints from her co-workers.
Attorney Robert Pierce believes Presdee gave Marianne Bower a fatal dose of insulin even though she wasn't a diabetic.
“They literally thought their mom passed away due to raspatory failure and then were just shaken to their core to find out this happened,” said Pierce.
Presdee is charged with homicide in the insulin-overdose deaths of two patients in Chicora.
She has not been charged in Bower's death.
Belair has not responded to a request for comment.
