3 men arrested after 5 fast food burglaries in Pittsburgh

The three men were caught in the state of Indiana

Pittsburgh's Headlines: August 4, 2026

Three Texas men are in custody in Greenfield, Indiana, charged with a series of fast food restaurant break-ins last weekend here in the Pittsburgh area.

The restaurants broken into are in Peters Township, Scott Township, Penn Hills, Monroeville and Castle Shannon.

Then, after Police in Pittsburgh shared the make model and Texas license plates, police in Indiana spotted the car and three suspects lingering around the vehicle at a hotel there.

Police say they also saw the men at a Home Depot Store buying tools to be used in burglaries same type used in the local break-ins.

After police watched the men leave the hotel, they tried to stop the vehicle, but the suspects gave chase.

Spikes were used to flatten three of the tires on their Hyundai Tuscon when the men were then arrested.

27-year-old Myron Causey, 28-year-old Za Cobi Demas and 30-year-old Dewitt Ross are being held in the Hancock County Jail.

Additional charges may be filed against them there before they're sent to Pennsylvania.
