Father of Highlands teacher accused of sexual assault, arrested for trying to run over news crew

The father of a former Highlands teacher, accused of sexually assaulting two minors, was arrested on charges of harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

According to an affidavit, 77-year-old Harold Dicer drove his SUV and tried to hit a local news reporter and camera man with his vehicle.

Police say WPXI reporter Gabriella Deluca and her camera man David Clark were trying to get a statement from 53-year-old Sean Dicer after a hearing outside a courtroom in Harmar on Wednesday.

Clark gave police video of the incident that he recorded.

It shows Harold backing out of a parking spot and drove toward Deluca and Clark.

Multiple charges have been filed against Sean Dicer. He was arrested in December on numerous charges related to allegations he had sexually abused two students back in 2021, with one victim claiming to be paid over $6,000 to keep quiet.

Allegheny County police say their follow up investigation identified two other victims, leading to additional charges in January.
