A Fayette County man is dead after being shot by police late Tuesday night.
The District Attorney's Office says police were called to Lyndale Road in Redstone Township to check on a man reportedly threatening to take his life.
Redstone Police and Pennsylvania State Troopers arrived and the man was shot.
He was treated by first responders at the scene but succumbed to his injuries.
No details have been made available except the victim is 27-year-old Christopher Hackney.
