Police in Fayette County have made an arrest in an attempted homicide.
According to District Attorney Mike Aubele’s office, 39-year-old Richard Vernon was arrested Monday morning after a shooting in Luzerne Township Sunday.
Vernon, reportedly upset over an earlier “vehicle incident”, followed the victim to his home and fired multiple rounds, nearly striking a woman in the shower, and endangering other homes in the area.
The victim returned fire in self-defense and is not facing any charges at this time.
Vernon is not allowed to own a gun in Pennsylvania.
No injuries were reported during the shooting.
