Reschenthaler leads the way to prohibit federal funding from EcoHealth Alliance

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - The U.S. House of Representatives passed an amendment last week that prohibits federal funding from EcoHealth Alliance, a nonprofit group that funneled millions of American tax dollars from the National Institute of Health to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Pennsylvania Congressman Guy Reschenthaler said Tuesday on the KDKA Radio Morning Show the Wuhan Institute of Virology studied biological weapons of mass destruction, biological warfare and gain of function research.

The amendment was introduced by Reschenthaler

"My amendment prevents the DOD from funding EcoHealth Alliance," Reschenthaler said. "They had funded EcoHealth Alliance to the tune of $41 million since the 2008 moratorium that Obama put in place."
