A pet duck in Finleyville is safe after she got suck on an icy pond.
Carriage Hill Pet Resort says the duck was stuck on the pond for hours and couldn’t move.
She was far away from the shore, so the resort called the local fire department.
Jefferson Hills and Elrama Fire Department responded.
Crews from Jefferson Hills used an inflatable raft to reach the duck.
“It took three different rope systems and a lot of hands to get the raft out to her, but when they did, she seemed grateful,” the resort said in a Facebook post.
Carriage Hill Kennel first opened in 1963 and is a place where people can leave their pets, in a resort setting, while they are away.
