Bald Eagle Parents nesting near U.S. Steel’s Irvin Plant have welcomed their first eaglet of 2025.
“USS 8” was born early Thursday morning during and is the eighth successful hatch at the nest in West Mifflin.
U.S. Steel says the egg that hatched was the second one mother Stella laid this season. They believe the first egg is not viable.

The second egg was laid on February 16.
The third egg, laid on February 19, has yet to hatch.
