First gun stopped by TSA at new Pittsburgh International Airport

A Pitcairn man is facing charges after attempting to bring a loaded revolver through security at Pittsburgh International.

It’s the first gun stopped at the new Pittsburgh International Airport terminal.

TSA officers found the gun in 26-year-old Justin Lang’s carry-on bag around 6:15 Sunday morning.

Police say Lang does not have a valid concealed carry permit and is charged with carrying a firearm without a license.

He is also facing fines worth up to $10,000. Nearly $14,000 for repeat offenders.

No one is permitted to bring a gun through TSA security. Those without a concealed carry permit face additional charges.
