A Flood Warning is in effect for areas that were already hit hard this past weekend.

The warning is in effect for parts of Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties until 4:15 p.m.

Affected communities include New Castle, Hermitage, Sharon, Grove City, Slippery Rock, New Wilmington, Sandy Lake, New Bedford, Mercer and more.

According to the National Weather Service, radar is indicating that thunderstorms in the area could produce two to three inches of rain in one hour.

Slippery Rock experienced heavy flooding in several areas last Sunday after a round or storms came through.

The entire Western Pennsylvania area is under a Flood Watch through 10 p.m. Friday.
