UPDATE: An Airport spokesperson: Police have cleared the Spirit Airlines plane and passengers will be departing to Tampa later Thursday afternoon. Police are following up on the incident and Pittsburgh International Airports are not affected.

A Spirit Airlines flight was disrupted this morning at Pittsburgh International.

Allegheny County Police are investigating a possible bomb threat onboard the flight bound for Tampa just before takeoff.

KDKA Radio's Larry Richert tells Colin Dunlap he was on the affected flight.

He says a man in his 30s reportedly texted someone about having a bomb and another passenger saw it.

Bob Kerlik, Allegheny County Airport Spokesperson tells KDKA Radio passengers are being rescreened and will be scheduled for a later flight.

Police continue to investigate.

Airport operations continue to be unaffected.
