Strong storms have moved through Southwestern Pennsylvania with more possible and parts of the area under a Flood Warning through the afternoon.
Parts of Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties are under the warning until 6:50 p.m. Wednesday. A Flash Flood Warning is used for Butler County until 7 p.m.
The threat of heavy rain and strong winds will stick around, along with temps near 90, on Thursday.
High temperatures and the threat of severe storms has been the story of the summer, so far.
AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg tells KDKA Radio, he doesn’t seem much relief coming into August.
“I don’t see a general change in this overall weather pattern, by and large, until very end of the month and even then, I think it’s going to be brief in nature. We go right back into the heat for August.
