Just like the past several days, there is potential for stormy weather Monday.
National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Kennedy tells the Big K Morning Show there is a risk for severe storms and flooding later this afternoon and evening, but will be more isolated compared to this weekend.
“If there are severe storms, the coverage will be less than what was observed this weekend, on Saturday and less also for flood,” said Kennedy.
The biggest risk with the incoming storms is “damaging downpours”.
A Flood Watch in in effect for most of Southwestern PA until 10 p.m. on Monday.
Some areas around the region are still dealing with the damaged caused by severe storms late last week.
It’s also another hot, humid day in the Pittsburgh region, with a high near 90.
The rest of the week will bring a little bit (but not much) of relief before temperatures approach 90 again for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
