Florida woman caught with gun at Pittsburgh International Airport

A Florida woman is facing a misdemeanor charge for bringing a gun to the main security checkpoint at Pittsburgh International Wednesday morning.

TSA officers spotted a handgun in 58-year-old Stephanie Nicholas' carry-on bag around 8:15 a.m.

Allegheny County Police say Nicholas didn't have a valid concealed carry permit and was charged for carrying a firearm without a license.

Passengers who do that are at risk of civil fines up to $10,000.
