A food truck in the Pittsburgh area has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.
Inspectors says Steve & Benny’s Chicken Shack based on Hastings Crescent in South Fayette and operating on Perry Highway in Perry Highway in McCandless had several violations.
The Health Department’s website stats that the location had cold-holding food at unsafe temperatures and “inadequate facilities” to maintain temperatures of food.
The truck also has a lack of water and food probe thermometer.
In addition, the truck was operating without a valid food permit and did not have a Certified Food Protection Manager.
The closure was issued on Monday, August 24.
