A food truck that was operating in Richland Township last week has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department
Cousins Maine Lobster that was up and running on the 5300 block of William Flinn Highway was operating without a permit, according to an inspection.
The Health Department says the mobile truck must apply for a permit by submitting the proper documentation and fees.
That application must be reviewed and approved by the Health Department food safety program.
A high-risk violation as also observed during inspection. There was no chemical sanitizer available in the truck.
Cousin Maine Lobster has more than one truck and according to its Facebook page will be at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, in Erie, Verona and Indiana, PA on Tuesday.
