A former Bethel Park police lieutenant pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to trafficking an 18-year-old woman into the US, someone he met while she was working as a prostitute in Colombia.
Blake Babin pleaded guilty to transporting an illegal alien.
Prosecutors say Babin gave the young woman money to travel from Colombia to the US-Mexico border.
She crossed near El Paso, Texas, where Babin was waiting to take her to Phoenix and then Pittsburgh.
Babin could get up to 5 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 or both when he is sentenced in March
