Rite Aid's former Oakmont location on Allegheny River Boulevard is going to be a Dollar General store in 2026.
A social media post from a Bennett Williams Commercial Real Estate agent says the building was been leased to Dollar General earlier this month and the store will open early next year.
“When we got wind in April of Bankruptcy 2 looming, us and the team [Dollar General] jumped into action to see what we could figure out,” Hagerman wrote on Instagram.
An exact opening date for the location at 109 Allegheny River Boulevard has not yet been announced.
Several former Rite Aid locations around the Pittsburgh area have been transformed with a couple becoming stand-alone Giant Eagle Pharmacies and the former Rite Aid on Banksville Road will be transformed into a Sheetz.
