Four people are facing a host of charges in a series of smash and grab robberies.
In all, 68 victims across Western Pennsylvania had their cars broken into, with personal items stolen, including access to banking information.
The PA Attorney General's Office announcing the charges against 32-Year-old Amed Henderson and 32-year-old Shaquan Moore, both of Pittsburgh, and 43-year-old Theresa Imel of Dravosburg and 33-year-old Elizabeth Madden of Elizabeth.
Officials say they used rented cars to scout out locations like parks and trails and other short-term parking locations.
They accessed their victims bank accounts and then split the money.
“These invasive, random crimes cause financial stress and strip the victims and their communities of a sense of security,” Attorney General Michelle Henry said. “These defendants are charged with breaking into vehicles, often by smashing a window, to steal personal items, and then violating the victims even further by accessing their bank accounts.”
