A Plum Borough man is accused of exploiting his girlfriend while serving as her caretaker.
Police say 64-year-old David Merriweather allegedly wrote four checks to himself totaling nearly $35,000 from the woman's bank account as her health deteriorated and she entered hospice care.
Investigators say employees at First National Bank flagged the checks as suspicious after they were cashed in New Kensington.
Merriweather is wanted on theft, forgery, fraud, and receiving stolen property charges.
