Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh is holding a pet supply distribution on Wednesday.

New or gently used pet supplies like collars, leashes, crates, beds and toys will be handed out free.

It’s happening from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday at Humane Animal Rescue's East Side location in the 6900 block of Hamilton Avenue.

The effort is to help families with pets that are struggling financially.

HARP wants to keep pets in “loving homes.”

Those that need help with veterinary care and other services can call HARP’s Pet Helpline at 412-345-0348 or email pethelpline@HumaneAnimalRescue.org.

The organization is also requesting donations of new or used pet supplies, unopened bag or cans of pet food. Those can be dropped on at HARP’s East Side or North Side facilities. Learn more about the donation program here.
