Frost Advisory in effect for some areas in Western PA

Frost advisories are in the forecast in a number of communities around Western Pennsylvania Wednesday night into Thursday.

Temperatures will drop to around 40 degrees Thursday morning and, in some places, the mid 30s.

AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg tells KDKA Radio that he doesn’t think the City of Pittsburgh and immediate-surrounding area, but “some of the eastern, northeastern suburbs, the normally colder spots could get down to 34, 35,36 (degrees) and have a danger of frost.”

That makes today the time to bring frost-sensitive plants indoors, like tomatoes, peppers, basil, and some annual flowers.

Temperatures will continue to feel more seasonal over the next week or so with highs in the 60s and lows, on some nights, in the 40s.
