PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) A natural gas leak in Oakland briefly shut down a portion of road on Thursday morning into the afternoon.
Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire were called to the intersection of Zulema Street and Coltart Avenue around 10:50 a.m.
When crews arrived they discovered that a natural gas line was struck by a construction crew and caused a large leak.
It was determined that an evacuation of homes and businesses was not necessary, but roads were closed while crews were on the scene.
People's Gas had the leak contained around 2:00 p.m. and roads were soon reopened.
